Leatha Azlee Tucker

Leatha Azlee Tucker, a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on September 22, 2024, at the age of 95. Born in Trumann, Arkansas on February 19, 1929, to Rufus Clarence and Lola Fay (Etter) Bean. She married Aubry Lee Tucker on June 3, 1950, and shared 64 years together before his passing. Azlee pursued a career at Bussman Fuse, where she worked for over 30 years as a packer on the assembly line. Azlee’s vocational accomplishments were matched only by her devotion to her family. She shared a passion for quilting with her husband, Aubry, and together they embroidered beautiful quilts. In addition to her skills with a needle and thread, Azlee was known for her culinary talents, with her chicken and dumplings and apple pie gaining legendary status among family and friends. A beloved member of the Hazelwood Baptist Church for many years, Azlee actively participated in the Senior Adults group, fostering many cherished friendships within the congregation. Her warm and welcoming demeanor touched the lives of all who knew her, leaving a lasting impact beyond measure. She was preceded in death by her husband, Aubry Tucker; parents: Clarence and Lola Bean and brother, Arlen Bean. Survivors include her daughter, Margaret (Mike Bridwell) Thompson of O’Fallon, Missouri; sisters: Melva Kimker of Ballwin, Missouri, and Ruby Laverne Hahn of Mehlville, Missouri; grandchildren: Angela (Bob) Bono, and Brian (Krysta) Thompson; great-grandchildren: Kyle (Cmantha) Schultz, Tony Bono, Ethan Thompson, Maria Bono, and Brayden Thompson; great-great grandchildren: Alyvia Schultz, and Logan Schultz; as well as several nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Valhalla Chapel of Memories, 7600 St. Charles Rock Road, St. Louis, Missouri, 63133. Funeral services will take place at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Jim Walker officiating. Burial will follow at Valhalla Cemetery.
