Andrew James Carter Andrew was born November 10, 1986 in San Jose, CA to Belinda Ann Wilson of Phoenix, AZ and Robert Neil Carter of Phoenix, AZ. Raised in Tucson, AZ since birth, died in Tucson, on November 30, 2016. He was 30. His father, Robert N. Carter was the son of Dr. James Swearingen Carter of Globe, AZ, who was the son of Henry Shreve Carter 2nd of St. Louis, MO, who was the son of Captain Henry Shreve Carter 1st of Louisville, KY, who was the son of Walker Randolph Carter 2nd of Fredericksburg, VA, who was the son of Walker Randolph Carter 1st of Fredericksburg, Spotsylvania Co, VA, who was the son of Colonel Charles Carter (of Ludlow) of ‘Stanstead’, King George Co, VA , who was the son of Colonel Charles Carter (of Cleve) of ‘Corotoman’, Lancaster Co, VA, who was the son of Robert ‘King’ Carter of ‘Corotoman’, Lancaster Co, VA. Andrew was a direct descendant of Robert ‘King’ Carter (1663 - 1732) who was the “wealthiest man of the colony” who funded the War of Independence. He was a descendant of William the Conqueror, King of England and a descendant of William de Lanvallei, one of the twenty five Sureties of the Magna Charta of 1215. The family fortune was spent funding the War of Independence. Andrew was the prodigal son, blond, blue-eyed, handsome prince. Andrew never married and had no children. In 2014, he graduated with honors from Northern Arizona University with a BS degree in Computer Science. He was presented with the PHI KAPPA PHI Senior Award in 2014 and received the President’s Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement. His academic achievements ranged from the “USGS DEM Blender Add On” an award winning capstone project that took digital elevation models to create a flyover video of terrains like Mars. He also built a LeJOS robot. His work experience ranged from Customer Support at Personify to Systems Analyst at Pima Community College. Andrew enjoyed playing piano and video games, inventing board games, swimming, reading, biking, spelunking, singing, karaoke, and astronomy. His cremains will be interred in the Carter Plot at Bellefontaine Cemetery in St. Louis, MO. Andrew is survived by his cousins Stacy Ann Carter of WA, Jessica Susan Carter of Los Angeles, CA, Sean Neal Carter of Phoenix, Colonel Anathea Jeanne Wallace of AK, and Ayesha Suzanne Townsend of FL; brothers Robert Nicholas Carter of Tucson and Frank Edward Carter of Phoenix; aunt Pamela Elaine Bender and uncle Earl Dan Bender of Kingston, AZ; uncles Daniel Henry Wilson, Randall James Wilson, and Frank Russell Wilson of Phoenix, AZ; aunt Donna Neal Carter of Phoenix, father Robert Neil Carter and stepmother Linda Joy Carter of Tucson; mother Belinda Ann Hodges of HI; grandmother Beverly Wilson of Phoenix; and best friend Chad Dulake of Chandler.
