Annie Mae Patrick was born August 6, 1926 to the union of Columbus Lee Patrick Sr. and Isabella Walker Patrick in Marianne, Arkansas. On August 8, 1939 she married Arthur Nelson Sr. of Little Rock Arkansas. During the depression they relocated to Kinloch, Missouri and in 1960 they moved the family to West Saint, the first black family. The family faithfully attended St. Stephen Lutheran Church until it closure and then Ann joined St. Paul A.M.E. Ann worked at St. Patrick's Parish, Mother Good Counsel Parish, and volunteered at St. Louis Public School. Ann and Arthur owned several businesses such as; Nelson Maintenance & Janitorial Services, and A&A Resale Shop. Ann enjoyed being a wife for seventy-four years, cooking, spending time with her family, grand and great grandchildren, and friends. Ann welcomed everyone to her table for a meal and words of wisdom. On Tuesday, September 15, 2020, at 5:30 a.m. Our Father in Heaven transitioned Ann from this to her new home with the Lord. She joins her husband, Arthur Nelson, Sr., her parents, and five children; Robert, Berta, Charles, Brenda, and Larry. She leaves to cherish her memories: Arthur Jr., Georgia, Ricky, Tony, LeeTanya, and Darrel of St. Louis, Missouri. Sisters; LeeEster Lott, and Gracie Allen of Omaha, Nebraska; son-laws, Willie Hunter, Kenn Miller, Ronald Wilhite Sr., and a legacy of five generations (great, great, great grandchildren), a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Ann was lovingly referred to as Mae, Queen, Grandma, Aunt Annie Mae, and GG.
