Carl L. Raney Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Carl Lawrence Raney was born to the late Lawrence and Dorothy Raney in Dade County, Florida on September 5, 1956. He graduated from the Ritenour School District in 1974 and began working various jobs, retiring after approximately 15 years at Beltservice in Earth City. Carl married Linda Marie Lynch in 1983 and was blessed with two wonderful boys. He was a strong protector of and provider for his family. Carl enjoyed visits with friends and good neighbors and was always there to help with whatever was needed. He loved all things outdoors including hunting, fishing, and motorcycling, while also enjoying a good game of pool, and hobbies such as tattooing and using deer antlers to sculpt small objects. He also enjoyed sharing his home with his grand-dogs Remi and Ammo ... and, yes, little River, a hyper but loveable Chihuahua. Carl is survived by his wife of 38 years, Linda; his two sons Brian [Natasha] Raney and Scott Raney; and three sisters, Juanita [Dickie] Parrish, Valerie [Steve] White, and Loretta [Glenn] Wehe. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be Monday, May 9 from 3-6 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life at 6 p.m. at Valhalla Chapel of Memories. Inurnment will be private at Valhalla Indoor Mausoleum. Memorial contributions may be left to the Alzheimer's Association in his memory.
