Chantel Lacy Wilson
October 28, 1989 - September 11, 2020
Chantel Lacy Wilson, 30, was born on October 28, 1989, in San Diego, California to proud parents, Melford Wilson and Kimberly Ann Smith. Chantel gave her life to Christ at an early age. She was baptized at Grace Unity Baptist Church in San Diego, California. Chantel attended elementary school in San Diego up to the third grade. She moved with Kimberly, her mother, to St. Louis, Missouri. Chantel furthered her education in St. Louis from the fourth grade through high school. Chantel graduated from Parkway North High School. After high school, she enrolled at Florissant Valley Community College. She graduated from the community college with an A.A. in Criminal Justice. On April 13, 2014, a wonderful blessing entered the lives of Chantel Wilson and Garcia Robins, Jr., Laila Lanae Robinson! Laila, the greatest love of my life, she is my twin she often caught herself saying. Their upbeat personalities and their beautiful smiles mirrored each other. The bond between time is enormous; it can never be broken. Being a life long learner, Chantel didn’t let grass grow under her feet. She enrolled at Lindenwood College to work on her B.A. in Criminal Justice. She would have graduated at the end of her 2020-2021 semester at Lindenwood, but the LORD had other plans. Always a giver and willing laborer to help and encourage others; Chantel was a selfless mentor for Rich Girls, Real Women, Inc. Chantel loved to travel. She travelled the world and lived her best life. On September 11, 2020 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, Chantel answered God’s call to rest from her labors. No more ravishes of Lupus, no more pain, only the Lord’s voice saying Welcome Home!
