Mr. Edward J. Cisler Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Ed was born in Honolulu, Hawaii to the late Charles and Mary [nee Cooney] Cisler. Edward served his country in the United States Marine Corps and worked for McDonnell Aircraft where he was a tool-maker. Edward enjoyed finding many Hobbies to fill his time. He was always searching for a new project or a new way of learning. Something to fill his brain and become more intelligent, from learning Thi-Chi to Spanish. He may have not always seen these projects to the end... ..but did enjoy trying. One thing he really enjoyed was coin hunting. He loved using his metal detector on the beach or anywhere to look for old and rare coins. Lately his favorite pass-time was the beach. The feel of the ocean breeze and his toes in the sand. Luckily he was able to take a trip this past August to Gulf Shores. Where he sat non-stop on the balcony and stared at the horizon. They did manage to get him down to the sand and in the water one last time. It was a trip that no one knew how important it would turn out to be until last November. Edward was married to Norma whom clearly he loved very much. Ed is survived by his wife: Norma Cisler; one son: Edward Michael Cisler; three step-children: William [Sherri] Leistner, Randy Leistner, Tracy [John] Richardson; nine grandchildren; one brother: Jim [DK] Cisler; and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and two sisters. Memorial contributions may be left to St Jude's Children's Hospital. Military Honors were performed by the United States Marine Corps.
