Janice Sue Hirsch
February 20, 1942 - May 1, 2022
Janice Sue Hirsch (nee Kessler) of Wentzville, MO, also known to many as "Miss Pigi", passed away Sunday, May 1, 2022, at the age of 80. Loving wife of Robert E. Hirsch for 55 years; beloved daughter of the late Arthur J. and Rose L. Kessler (nee Vohsen). Dear sister of the late James R. Kessler Sr. (Sharon), Joseph A. Kessler (Ruth), and Judy A. Hilsabeck (the late Ron). Beloved sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend of many. Jan was a stay-at-home wife who loved to sew, upholster furniture, and canned the many fruits and vegetables that Bob grew in his garden. They both had a love for bowling, volleyball, and playing card games. Jan had a special love of little pigs and once people knew that, they were sure to bring her a prized possession from many places. A local news station heard about her collection and interviewed her for a segment on the evening news. When her niece and nephews were little they would love to visit and count all the pigs which at one time were over 2,000. Not having children of their own, she loved being a part of their lives and enjoyed many holidays with them. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to: Promedica Hospice ( 1097 Wentzville Parkway, Wentzville, MO 63385-3537 or [email protected]
