John (Jack) Henry Sim
July 16, 1935 - October 23, 2020
John was born in Philadelphia, PA on July 16, 1935 to John and Helen [nee Fallows] Sim. He served his country in the United States Army, and spent most of his life as an author of books and restoration of antiques gas pumps and air meters. His love of all things old, including antiques and collectibles served him well, as he was always willing to share his knowledge about collecting. His second love was throwing darts and having a brew with buddies at Am Vets Post #55 and he could often be saying..."are you thirsty?" Survivors include his wife of 31 years: Cynthia [nee Martin] Sim; four children: Barbara Sheahan, Richard [Karen] King, Robert King, Kimberly King; fourteen grandchildren: Kristen, Kortney, Brian, Amber, Amanda, Travis, Dylan, Taylor, James, Jesse, Emma, Santana, Stephen, John; five great grandchildren: Makayla, Phoenix, Athena, Frya, John; one sister: Jane; and one brother: Robert [Betsy]. He was preceded in death by his parents; two children: Helen Figueroa and John Sim, Jr. Graveside Services will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at 10 am on Friday, November 13th, with Full Military Honors. The funeral procession will depart Valhalla at 9:15 am. A get together after services for family and friends will be provided by AM Vets Post #55, (Natural Bridge Road, BelRidge, Mo Memorial contributions may be made to Am Vets Post #55 or the American Heart Association.
