Mario M. LLoyd Sr. Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mario Marvin Lloyd, sr. was born on May 14, 1951 in South Bend, Indiana to the union of William Henry Lloyd, Sr., and Katie Beatrice Lloyd. While in high school, Mario was taking care of his father, commuting to and from Chicago for dialysis. When he graduated from Washington High School, he met and married Jacqueline Harris [McCleod] in 1971. Mario was a hard worker and has had many vocations and interests, which include culinary arts, visual arts, mortician, factory machinist, gardener, and upholsterer at Virtro Seating Products where he retired from in 2014 due to his illness. Through his illness, his sister, Dovie; niece, Bonita and daughter, Althea helped to take care of him. Mario departed this life, August 25, 2020 in St Louis, Missouri at St Mary's Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents. brothers: William Jr., Andre and Stanley Lloyd; and sister, Pamela Michelle Lloyd Flemings. Mario leaves to cherish his memories: children: Althea, Mario Jr., Shanta, Annette, Marvin, and Michael; sisters Dovie Townsend and Lenora Lloyd; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
