Mr. Paul H. Stamme

Professor Paul Henry Stamme passed away on March 8, 2015, in Lafayette, Indiana. He was 74. Mr. Stamme was a passionate instructor of Social Sciences for over 45 years, where he received outstanding recommendations by colleagues and students alike. He was born in Saint Louis, Missouri, the eldest son to the late George and Catherine [nee Simmons] Stamme, and was married to Zhan Lu on Sept 20, 2000. Mr Stamme is survived by four children: son Paul Jassen Stamme, daughter Sherry Stamme-Arand, husband David Arand, daughter Lisa Stamme-Cartier, husband Michael Cartier and step daughter Feng Shuang Stamme. He is also survived by his younger sibling Kenneth Stamme and his wife Marilyn Stamme; niece Angeline Stamme, nephew Brian Stamme, six grandchildren and one grandniece. Mr Stamme is a graduate of De Andreis High School in Saint Louis, class of 1960. He received the Bachelor of Arts in Education from Arizona State University, Tempe AZ. Mr Stamme received an Honorary Doctor's degree from Tai Zhou Teacher's College in China in recognition for his excellence in academic achievement and contribution to students. He was a Professor at the Saint Louis Community Colleges, Webster University, Ivy Tech in Indiana and many more institutions. Mr Stamme has also taught overseas in Jamaica, China, and Hong Kong: he has touched the lives of thousands of students. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, colleagues and students.
