Alexandra Nevitt

Alexandra Nevitt (McKenzie) was born on January 30, 1990, in Des Moines, Washington. She was the second of four children born to Edward & Marla McKenzie. Alexandra was affectionately called Allie by her family, friends, and loved ones. She was called “Mamoo” by her children. Her father Edward; preceded her in death. Alexandra started her formal education in the educational system of King County, Washington. Alexandra understood at a very young age of God’s presence. She was beyond talented, especially when it came to photography. If anyone was ever sad, she made it her mission to make them laugh. When her family moved to St. Louis, Missouri in 2001, she completed her education with the Parkway School District and earned her GED in 2008. Alexandra worked at Subway as an assistant manager from 2006 until 2014 and then again in 2019-2020. Alexandra attended Regency Beauty Institute earning her cosmetology license in 2016. She also worked for SCAPE CREPES ETC, Walmart, Schnucks, and at the time of her passing; worked as a phlebotomist with CSL Behring. Alexandra met Jonathan Nevitt in 2013 and was joined with him in holy matrimony on May 15, 2015. From this union, 2 children were born; Jonah & Amari Nevitt. Alexandra loved her children dearly. She was known to make a delicious baked spaghetti casserole and mouthwatering cheesecakes. She enjoyed fashion, makeup, music, hair dressing and comedy on social media. Alexandra departed this life on Saturday, September 24. 2022 at 4:45am. She leaves to cherish her memory two devoted children: Jonah & Amari, husband: Jonathan, Mother: Marla McKenzie, siblings Sandie McElliot, Jaqueline & Joseph Pollack, Vanessa McKenzie, Samuel McKenzie; nephew; Aiden Pollack; Parent In-laws: James & Teresa Nevitt, Brother In-law James X Nevitt, Longtime friends: Dan Kozlowski & Sherre Mans and a host of family, friends and coworkers. She will be dearly missed but not forgotten. Poem I’m Free by Shannon Lee Moseley Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free. I’m following the path God has chosen for me. I took His hand when I heard Him call; I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day, to laugh, to love, to work or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way; I’ve found now peace at the end of the day. If my parting has left a void, then fill it with remembered joys. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss; Oh yes, these things, I too will l miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow, look for the sunshine of tomorrow. My life’s been full, I savored much; good friends, good times, a loved ones touch. Perhaps my time seems all too brief; don’t lengthen your time with undue grief. Lift up your heart and peace to thee, God wanted me now – He set me free. Alexandra will be Inurned in the Shrine of Remembrance at Valhalla's Indoor Mausoleum.
