Donna M. Neal

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donna Neal, a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and treasured member of her community, who departed this life on January 11, 2026, at the age of 75. Born on November 27, 1950, Donna was a remarkable woman whose spirit shone brightly in all she did. She professed a hope in Christ and was baptized at Friendship Baptist Church. A vibrant and independent soul, Donna was an active member of the St. Louis Society for the Blind, dedicating over 20 years to the Bookworm Club and serving as a 17-year member of Sight and Sound of the Impaired of St. Louis. Her passion for life extended to her involvement with the Games Accessible for the Blind club, where her sassy personality and infectious sense of humor left an indelible mark on everyone around her. Donna was proud of her independence, having learned early on from her stepmother how to navigate the city and reach her cherished destinations. Among her happiest moments was when her family gathered to celebrate as her picture was displayed on the Call-A-Ride vehicle, a testament to her determination and zest for life. An avid fan of The Beatles, with a special love for Paul McCartney, Donna found joy in music, laughter, and the company of her loved ones. She will be fondly remembered as a dedicated Big Sister and the best Auntie to her many nieces and nephews, whose lives she touched with her warmth and unwavering support. She was preceded in death by her parents: Ardell Vincent Neal and Delores Gilliehan-Neal; sister, Carla Neal; brothers: Lazarr Neal (Patricia) and Gardell Neal. Survivors include her stepmother, Doris Neal of St. Louis Missouri; sister, Debra Bobo of St. Louis, Missouri; brothers: Michael Neal of St. Louis, Missouri; Andre (Debbie) Neal of Colorado; Sean Neal of St. Louis, Missouri; Arthur Neal (Kathy) of Carbondale, IL and Ardell Neal Jr. of St. Louis, Missouri; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Donna will be cremated, and her family invites all who knew and loved her to join them in honoring her remarkable life. A celebration of her life and legacy will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026, at Valhalla Chapel of Memories, 7600 St. Charles Rock Road, St. Louis, Missouri, 63133. A visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Louis Society for the Blind in memory of Donna, ensuring that her legacy of support and compassion continues on.
