Michael Louis Richardet

Michael Louis Richardet, 71, of Kirkwood, Missouri, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2024, after a long battle with cancer. He fought a brave fight until God called him Home to eternal rest; he is in the arms of Jesus, free of pain. Michael leaves behind his wife of 27 years, Teresa (Terri) Ward; his children Jennifer Gyngard and her husband Rob and Matthew Richardet and his wife Mandy. He also leaves behind his grandson Mason Gyngard with whom he created many good and lasting memories. Michael is also survived by his siblings: Daniel L. Richardet, Charles (Chuckie) Richardet, Gary R. Enlow, Ronald D. Enlow, Beverly A. (Enlow) Becker, Alana Richardet, Roberta Richardet, and eighteen nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather, Raymond D. Enlow, and siblings, Diane (Richardet) L. Amberger, and David Richardet. Born on November 9, 1952, to Mary Lou Herod and Charles (Jake) Richardet in Silver Lake, Missouri. Michael grew up Perryville and St. Louis, Missouri. Michael loved working on and restoring vintage Volkswagens and belonged to the Gateway VW club. He also enjoyed going to car shows, gun shows, and target shooting with his wife. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, friends, and buddies in the VW club. Michael’s passing was communicated to his VW club at their last meeting on June 5, 2024. A member of the club summed up his buddies’ feelings: “Mike was a tremendous human being! I always treasured his friendship and will miss him a lot! Thanks, Mike for being a great human being! Sad day indeed!” A celebration of Michael’s life will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. at Church of the Advent, 9373 Garber Road, Crestwood, Missouri, 63126.. Cremation has been accorded by Valhalla Funeral Chapel, Crematory and Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be considered to The St. Louis Senior Dog Project, the Open Door Animal Sanctuary, or a no-kill animal rescue of your choice.
